what's the difference between a headshot and brand photography?
what do you recommend to wear?
During our planning call, we can discuss wardrobe and props but I always tell my clients to dress in what makes them feel most comfortable. Wearing clothes in your brand colours or complementary to your brand colours is a great idea too.
A headshot is usually one or a few images of your upper body with one background of your choice. Brand photography is about understanding who you are as a brand (your colours, values, look and feel, your story) and translating that into an array of high-quality, cohesive images that you can use across all of your marketing platforms.
WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO BOOK A BRAND SHOOT?
A good time to book a brand shoot may be when you are launching/re-launching your product or service, or when you are in the process of rebranding.
But a brand shoot can also be helpful if you need the efficiency of having an array of high-quality and on-brand images that you can use across platforms. My clients often find that this saves them lots of time and money long term.
hoW DO i choose a location?
Locations can be super impactful when trying to get the right look and feel for your photos. Part of the brand experience package includes scouting for locations that suit you, your brand and help tell your story.
A good place to start is to think which locations you usually work in on a typical day and try and incorporate some of that in the photos. Some creatives I work with look for more artistic photos in which case nature can be an excellent backdrop.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH LARGER/CORPORATE BUSINESSES?
Whilst my focus is smaller businesses, I have worked with a wide range of clients including law firms, charities and financial institutions.
WHAT'S YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
Do you do editorial/fashion photography?
I describe my style as organic, natural story-telling. I like to use natural light where possible. Every shoot will have a slightly different touch depending on you and your brief but my ultimate goal is to help you tell your story.
I'm open to enquiries for editorial or fashion photography. I have worked with models and actors and created editorial type content before. Contact me to learn more.
Do you have a studio?
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY?
I don't have a studio but I know a few London studios which we can use should that be of interest.
I have photographed products for past clients before and am happy to photograph your products as part of a brand shoot or separate from it.
